Link management
Turn long URLs into memorable links, tailor destinations to your audience, and manage when and how visitors can access them.
Creating a short link
In your dashboard, select Create Link. Enter the destination URL, choose a domain, and customize the short code if you want a recognizable address. Create the link when your settings are ready, then copy it to share.
Basic settings
-
Destination URL: Enter the full web address visitors should reach when they open your short link. Check the destination before sharing it.
-
Short code: Choose the part of the address after the domain (for example,
goose.re/my-campaign). Use a concise, descriptive code, or leave it blank to generate one automatically. -
Domain: Choose
goose.reor a connected custom domain to set the public address of your short link.
Advanced routing
Use one short link for several destinations. Targeting rules direct visitors to relevant content based on their device, operating system, or language. A/B testing distributes traffic across destination URLs so you can evaluate different experiences.
Device & OS targeting
Configure separate destinations for iOS, Android, and desktop visitors. For an app campaign, the same link can open the relevant app store on mobile and a product landing page on desktop.
A/B testing
Add destination URLs and assign a traffic weight to each one. Use the split to test landing page variations, then compare conversions in your destination analytics and adjust the weights as needed.
Security & expiration
Password protection
Set a password for content intended for a specific audience. Visitors must enter the password before continuing to the destination. Share it separately with the people who need access.
Expiration dates
Choose when a link should stop directing visitors to its destination. Match the expiration date and time to the end of an offer, registration window, or other time-sensitive campaign.
